Let me tell you about the inspiration I took from existing video games.
For the design of my game, I took inspiration from multiple games and TV series/movies. I looked at using pastel shades to colour my scene and limit the number of diļ¬erent colours - just use 3-4 in a scene (using multiple shades of colour). I took that inspiration from the games Firewatch.I really like this type of style because it looks very beautiful and is calming to look at which will make the gameplay relaxing and stress reducing.

Journey was the other game that I took inspiration from because of all the lights that were implemented very well into the scene and made it look magical. That is why I considered putting multiple lights in my scene to bring it to life because after all it was supposed to be a extraordinary forest.

Another media I was really inspired by was the movie "Avatar". Like Journey, there were even more glowing plants and animals. I just had to find a middle ground between the two of them when creating my game.
What I did next is research digital content in order to take some inspiration when creating my game. A really cool game I found was "Little Nightmares". In the game, the character is a tiny little creature dressed in yellow. I really like that design idea because it makes the gameplay very compelling and entertaining.

I found out another inspiration from then Netļ¬ix TV animation “Hilda”. What got my attention was the story-a girl who loves nature always ļ¬nds an adventure and that inļ¬uences the young audience to think and care more about the outdoor world. That is the main eļ¬ect I want to achieve to make the players no matter how young or old appreciate the nature and think more about the future.

Moreover, when I started thinking of my main character, I instantly thought of the character Ellie from the game "The Last of Us". She is a really remarkable character and having played the game, I can say that it was one of the first games that started having an amazing quality content. That made the players' experience remarkable and hard to forget.
